Admission


Admission is free to all sites for Historic Beverly and Card to Culture members, Active-duty military, Blue Star families,  and members of Massachusetts Teachers Association (MTA), NEMA, NARM, AASLH and AAM.  Appropriate identification should be presented.

National Railway Historical Society members are entitled to half-price admission.


Historic Beverly is a member of the Card to Culture and Museums for All programs. We offer free tours to EBT, WIC, and ConnectorCare card holders (up to 4 per visit), and discounted pricing for regular programs.   Historic Beverly does not process EBT transactions; cash or other payment must be provided for admission. General admission to Balch and Hale, which are open seasonally, is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and students, and free for children under 16.

All tours at Balch and Hale are guided.

Self-guided tours of the Cabot House are free; guided tours are available for $8. Please see our school programs page for school visit information.

The Balch House

Reopens for the season on June 7, 2025. Open every Monday June-August, June 21-22, July 19-20, August 16-17..

Visit The Cabot House

Hale Farm

Opens for the season for the on May 27 for Frederick Douglass: Advocate for Equality exhibit. The exhibit is on view Monday, May 27 – May 31 and June 2 – June 9, 11:00am – 3:00pm

The house then opens for regular seasonal hours every Friday, and full weekends on July 13-14, and August 10-11, 11:00 am-3:00pm. Drop in kid’s crafts available with admission.

The grounds are open dawn to dusk daily. Take a walk on our handicap accessible path and learn about the property.
