Rantoul’s Beverly Walking Tour

Free – $10Robert Rantoul was one of Beverly’s most accomplished, dedicated, and interesting citizens; because of that, he was chosen to welcome the Marquis de Lafayette when he visited Beverly. Rantoul was involved in a variety of social organizations in Beverly and held multiple political positions as well. He served in the town militia and eventually became Captain of the Light Infantry Company of Beverly from 1805 to 1809. He acted as Overseer of the Poor, and was clerk and deacon of the First Church. Join us for a fun afternoon walking tour of Rantoul’s Beverly; we will explore the life, times, and places that were relevant to him and explore his deep roots in Beverly history
$10; free for members of Historic Beverly and Card to Culture. Registration required; All registrants will be required to reconfirm their attendance in writing 72 hours prior to the event.
