Baker Avenue Virtual Tour
February 10 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Free – $10Baker Ave sits quietly, as do all the surrounding streets, on Prospect Hill. It is the longest street on the hill. Have you ever wondered WHO lived there? Who “built” Baker Ave? Explore the development of the street, from its humble and modest beginnings in the 1890s before there were house numbers, all the way to the 1960s when the final homes were built! A diverse array of characters from all walks of life will appear in this story, to show who “built” the street, as well as a little on John I. Baker, a key figure in Beverly history for whom the street is named. This is the next installment of the Prospect Hill series of walking tours, and a virtual look at an in-person tour coming in the warmer months.
$10; free for members of Historic Beverly and Card to Culture
