We’ll discuss the history of shoe making in the area, the founding of the United Shoe Machinery Company, the building of “the Shoe”, and the profound effects of the USMC and industry in Beverly.This tour picks up where our first two tours of the Cummings Center left off; participation in the first two tours is not needed to appreciate this tour.
