This tour of the Cummings Center and the history of the United Shoe Machinery Company picks up where our first Cummings Center tour left off. A general overview and review of the first tour will be offered as an introduction, then we’ll discuss various topics such as immigration, the life of a USMC worker and life after “the Shoe.”
