Sculpture in Beverly
March 2, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Free – $10From a young man sitting alone on a bench to a granite millstone found 200 yards from its original location, sculpture and public art have been prominent but sometimes overlooked in the city of Beverly for well over 140 years. The History of Sculpture in Beverly virtual lecture is presented by our Associate Director for Collections, Abby Battis and will focus on gardens and various sculptures and statuary that we are familiar with throughout the city of Beverly. Abby will uncover some of the ongoing mysteries about the missing history of some cherished pieces that Beverly has been home to and she will offer a vision for the future of public sculpture throughout the city.
