Cole, Colon, and Essex Streets, the Livermore house, a shoemaker’s shop, and the home to a sitting President; the historical narrative of the Montserrat neighborhood can be traced over 300 years. This area of the city has seen the settlement of merchants and fishermen, farmers, and Revolutionary war veterans. This virtual walking tour will dive deep into the history of the quiet neighborhood and will examine the life and times of many of its residents while also exploring the development of the area.
