Join us at Hale Farm for an evening of history, poetry, and fun as we read some of Lucy Larcom’s poetry classics. One of Beverly’s most notable residents, Lucy Larcom began working as a Lowell “mill girl” when she was eleven, and went on to lead a life filled with poetry, literature, and teaching.

Local poets Carl Carlsen, Nancy Clark, Sean Devlin, Lee Lewis, Tom Miller, Dawn Paul, Betsy Retallack, Tony Toledo, and Margaret Young will be reading poems by Lucy Larcom and original poems of their own creation that reflect on writings created by Larcom over a century ago.
